There's Only
One Path.
Out of 14 million futures, only one leads to your best self.
The technological singularity is the machine surpassing the human.
The User Singularity is the human — using the machine — surpassing themselves.
The Definition
User Singularity (n.) — the threshold at which a person's use of AI begins to measurably improve them as a human being, rather than merely improving their output.
The threshold at which a person's use of artificial intelligence begins to measurably improve them as a human being — in memory, emotional regulation, self-understanding, or capacity — rather than merely improving their output.
Specifically: the practice of using AI to render internal experience — memory, trauma, imagination — into external visual form, so that what was previously only felt can be seen, examined, and reprocessed, engaging the brain's neuroplastic capacity for change.
The moment a user stops asking what AI can do for them and starts measuring what it has done to them — and finds the answer is better.
The Inversion
The machine exceeds the human.
Intelligence leaves us behind.
The human becomes the bottleneck.
The question is survival.
The human exceeds their former self.
Intelligence is turned inward.
The human becomes the point.
The question is what you become.
Both describe an acceleration. Only one of them has you in it at the end.
Four Principles
AI is the instrument, not the successor.
A scalpel does not replace the surgeon. The value is not in the model's capability — it is in what a person becomes by wielding it.
What can be seen can be worked with.
Experience trapped inside a person is difficult to examine. Rendered into an image, it becomes an object — external, stable, and available to be revisited on the person's terms rather than the memory's.
The user is the variable.
The model is the same for everyone. What differs is who is holding it and what they are pointing it at. Two people with identical tools arrive at entirely different places.
Progress is measured in the human, not the output.
Not how much you produced. Whether you sleep. Whether the memory still takes the room out from under you. Whether you are more yourself this year than last.
The Mechanism
A traumatic memory is rarely a complete recording. It is fragments with holes between them — and the holes are part of the injury, not a failure of recall. The work is not replaying what you remember. It is going into what's missing.
The memory is deliberately brought forward. Research on memory reconsolidation indicates that a recalled memory enters a temporarily unstable state before it is re-stored — a window in which its emotional charge can be updated.
Mine ends in the middle of a schoolyard — I was eight, I had been running, and there is nothing after that. Fragmented, out-of-sequence, incomplete recall is a documented feature of traumatic memory. Naming the edge of the gap is the first thing most people have never done.
What you do have gets rendered. This is where AI enters — not as a therapist, but as a rendering engine, producing an image of something that until now existed only inside one person's head. Seen, it becomes an object you can walk around instead of weather you get caught in.
Then the gap gets worked — deliberately, with the seams left visible. This is the part that is new, and it demands precision: we are not recovering lost memory and we are never inventing it. We build a considered account of what the missing piece held and what it meant, and we mark it as construction. A hole you have looked into and described is a different object than a hole you have spent decades not approaching.
Closure is not the finished film. It happens inside the process — in the deciding, the describing, the going in and coming back out. People expect relief at delivery. It arrives earlier, somewhere around the moment they stop flinching away from the missing part. The artifact is just what's left over afterward.
On stage 04 specifically: reconstructed material is authored, not recovered. It is built openly, with you, and labelled as construction wherever it appears. Nothing produced here should be treated as retrieved memory or as evidence of what occurred.
Origin
I did not set out to name anything.
I set out to fix something in myself, and the only tool in the room was the one everyone else was using to write emails faster.
It worked."
Everyone was arguing about whether the machine would replace us. Nobody was asking the more useful question: what happens if you point it at yourself?
So I did. I took memories I could not look at directly and made them visible. I looked at them as pictures instead of as weather. Over time, the ones that used to run me stopped running me.
That has a name now. I gave it one, because the thing I went through was not the technological singularity — it was the opposite of it. The machine did not surpass me. I surpassed the version of me that walked in.

This is one person's result — n = 1. It is not a study, not a clinical outcome, and not evidence that this will work for anyone else. There are no testimonials on this page because there is nothing yet to show. When there is, it will be published with permission and described accurately, including the parts that did not work.
The Work
I take one person at a time through the process above, and I do it with them personally — every session, every render. This is not software you are handed. It is the thing I did to myself, run again with you in the chair.
- Two working sessions, 1:1
- Gap mapping — where it stops, what's missing
- 6–8 rendered stills of the scene
- A written account of the memory
- A short rendered piece, ~30 seconds
- Everything in The Single Memory
- Four to six working sessions, 1:1
- Full written chapter, revised with you
- Narration script, timed and recorded
- A narrated film, 60–90 seconds, publication-ready
- Every version kept — nothing overwritten
- Everything in The Chapter, across several
- Ongoing sessions through the full arc
- Continuity held across chapters
- Sequencing — what goes where, and why
- Publication strategy, if you want one
- If you are in crisis, or currently unsafe, this is not the right thing right now — and I will say so.
- If you are in treatment, bring your clinician into it. This works best alongside care, and I will talk to them if you want me to.
- If you are not in treatment and this is heavy, I will ask you to get support in place before we start.
- Every engagement opens with a free call. Some of those calls end with me telling you not to do this yet. That is a real outcome, not a formality.
There is no checkout. The only way in is the call, and nothing is paid before it.
